Last updated: 9/30/26

Greeley County Economic Development (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through greeleycounty.org (the “Website”), how we use it, and what choices you have.

By using the Website, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways.

Contact form. When you fill out our contact form, you give us:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your message
  • Any other details you choose to include, such as your phone number or company name

Analytics. When you visit the Website, our analytics tool, Google Analytics, collects information about your visit. This can include:

  • IP address (which may be shortened or anonymized)
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages you view and how long you stay
  • Links you click
  • The website that referred you to us
  • Your approximate location, such as city or country

We do not collect any other personal information. We do not offer accounts, take payments, or run a newsletter.

How We Use Your Information

We use contact form information to:

  • Read and reply to your message
  • Follow up on your request or question

We use analytics information to:

  • Understand how people find and use the Website
  • Fix problems and improve our content and design
  • Keep the Website secure

We do not use your information to send marketing messages unless you ask us to.

Cookies

Our analytics tool uses cookies, which are small text files stored on your device. They help us count visitors and see how people move through the Website.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you do, the Website will still work.

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. The Website does not currently respond to these signals.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these cases:

  • Service providers. Our analytics provider, Google Analytics, processes visit data for us. Our email and hosting providers, JenRus Marketing and BlueHost, may also handle contact form messages. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Legal reasons. We may share information if the law requires it or to protect our rights and safety.
  • Business changes. If we merge with or sell our business to another company, your information may transfer as part of that deal.

Data Retention

We keep contact form messages for forever after we finish our conversation with you. Analytics data stays in our analytics tool forever, but it can be deleted.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, such as using secure connections (HTTPS) and limiting who can see your messages. No system is fully secure, though. We cannot promise that your information will stay safe from every threat.

Your Rights

Depending on your state, you may have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or delete it
  • Object to or limit how we use it
  • Ask for a copy of it in a portable format
  • Withdraw your consent at any time

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We will reply within the time the law requires.

Notice for residents of certain U.S. states. Some states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Utah, give residents privacy rights under state law. If you live in one of these states, you may use the rights listed above. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. If we deny your request, you may appeal by contacting us at the address in Section 10.

Children’s Privacy

The Website is not for children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, in line with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

The Website may link to other websites that we do not own. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
