Welcome to the Sunflower Cottage – your home away from home, walking in gives you a sense of a quiet escape. The cottage features two bedrooms which have queen size beds, a living room with dish TV and internet access, a walk in shower, and a washer and dryer. The kitchen is furnished with standard size appliances and is fully equipped with dishes and pots and pans for extended stays.
A continental breakfast is provided for overnight guests. This cottage is great for the unexpected guest or when you need more space for holidays and special occasions. People have also found them comfortable for extended stays when doing projects in town.

June Jaunt
Make plans to be in town June 4-6, 2021 for the 10th Annual June Jaunt. Enjoy any and all of the many activities being hosted by a number of local organizations, businesses, and groups.

On Friday, June 4, and Saturday, June 5, check out the Community-Wide Garage Sales & Downtown Sidewalk Sales. There are currently 13 sales registered for the weekend! Sales are scheduled to run from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Friday and from 8 a.m. – 12 noon on Saturday, though some will only be open one day or the other. There is still time to register a sale – call us at (620) 376-2548 before noon on Tuesday, June 1. Maps with sale descriptions will be available at Gooch’s Foods, Dixon Drug, and Eagle Convenience by 12 noon on Thursday, June 3.
The Gavin B. Kleymann Memorial Livestock Show and Silent Auction is scheduled for Saturday, June 4, and Sunday, June 5, at the Greeley County Fairgrounds. Weigh-in begins at 7 a.m. on both days, except for the sheep and goats, which will begin weigh-in at 11 am on Saturday. The show will include class payouts and breed champion awards for meat goats, swine, sheep, beef, and breeding heifers, as well as showmanship buckles and prizes. Silent auctions will also take place in the meeting room at the 4H Pavilion. Greeley County Junior High and High School Football will offer concessions on Saturday, June 5, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, June 6, from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Greeley County 4H Building in conjunction with the Gavin B. Kleymann Memorial Livestock Show.
Registration for The Trench Annual Poker Run will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, at The Trench. The run will begin at 10 a.m. and riders and drivers will return to Tribune by 4 p.m. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. and a dance, featuring Scott King as DJ, will begin at 9 p.m. This year’s run honors Wayne Moritz and proceeds from the event will go to the Greeley County Victory Walk Fund. The Gavin B. Kleymann Memorial Vendor Fair will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 4. A variety of unique vendors will participate, offering food, hand-made household and décor items, jewelry, independent consultants, and more. This event will also be held at the Greeley County 4H Building in conjunction with the Gavin B. Kleymann Memorial Livestock Show and Auction.
The Greeley County Swimming Pool and Greeley County Recreation will host a free swim from 1 – 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 4.
The Greeley County Amusement Association will host the Tribune Tryathlon, on Saturday, June 4. Registration will begin at 1 p.m. at the Alley Bar and Grill, with games to begin at 1:15. Games will be played at The Alley Bar & Grill and The Trench Bar and Grill. Described as a triathlon for the rest of us, the event will include horseshoes, bowling, and corn hole to be played by teams of 2. The registration cost is $20/team. Throughout the weekend, community members and visitors alike can participate in a county-wide Road Rally. Load up your car and follow along on a scavenger hunt to various points around Greeley County, answering questions and documenting your journey along the way. Forms will be available for pickup at Eagle Convenience beginning Thursday, June 3, at 12 noon, or can also be printed off from www.greeleycounty.org. *If the roads are muddy or poor weather is expected, this event will get pushed back until later in the summer.
The community-owned Star Theater of Tribune will show Cruella Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night (June 4 – June 6) at 7 p.m. It’s rated PG-13 and has a running time of 134 minutes. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for children ages 12 and under. *Please note that the Sunday movie show time has been moved back to 7 p.m. for the summer.
